History
Park Place was built to provide safe, affordable housing for families who were homeless, or at risk of becoming homeless. After a successful purchase offer in February 2007 and much planning, Fernwood NRG broke ground on Park Place on January 2nd, 2008. The building was completed six months later, and six families moved into the newly-constructed building on August 1st, 2008. The building sits adjacent to Haegert Park, and across the street from the historical Yukon houses, built in 1892 by William Whittaker.
